On Thursday night, Emmerdale’s hour-long instalment was full of mixed emotions for the Dingle family. Sam Dingle (played by James Hooton) had to say a tearful goodbye to the family’s beloved pig, which once belonged to Lisa Dingle (Jane Cox). Marlon (Mark Charnock) also gave an emotional speech as he thanked newcomer Naomi (Karene Peter) and her father Charles (Kevin Mathurin) for helping him following his stroke.
The tension also increased for Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) and Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) after the vet kicked the barmaid out of the family home.
Paddy ended up getting drunk at the village Christmas festival and lashed out at his ex.
Meanwhile, Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland) was seen driving off in a taxi, and despite telling her pals she would be ok, it was clear she had no money and was frightened for her future.
Fans also watched as the youngster had a heart-to-heart with Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb), who she says is the father of her unborn child.
Despite feeling guilty about keeping the baby a secret, all Mack could think about was saving his relationship with Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins).
However, as the episode came to a close, fans began to grow suspicious of Paddy and Chloe’s friendship.
Before she got in the taxi, Chloe said to Sarah: “I’m gonna be full on with Christmas stuff so you know don’t worry if I’m not texting every five seconds.
“I need to get one with my life…well make one.”
Sarah replied: “If I were you I’d be terrified but you’re just so cool about everything.”
As Chloe got into the taxi, she said: “I’m going to go before I start crying.”
Paddy sat on a bench as Chloe left the village, but many questioned why Chloe stared at the vet as she drove off.
Taking to social media to share their thoughts, some fans think Paddy could be the father of her baby, not Mack.
Rach theorised: “Am I missing something between Chloe and Paddy, is he the baby’s father?”
Peter asked: “Why did Chloe stare at Paddy?”
Shane went on to reply: “Think Paddy is the real father of her baby.”
“Paddy waving bye to Chloe, he should’ve said “see you in 5 minutes” because we all know she’ll be back. #Emmerdale,” Owen joked. (sic)
Other fans questioned whether Chloe would return to the village, or whether this was goodbye for good.
Ryan Glendenning said: “I hope Chloe isn’t really leaving – I like her. #Emmerdale.”
Ben Powell tweeted: “I no doubt Chloe will be back with a baby in tow shortly £15 one way…”
“Is that the last we see of Chloe?” Bobby asked.
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7pm on ITV.
