Emmerdale fans are convinced Gail Loman (Rachael Gill-Davis) is related to a familiar face.

The character returned to the village in May after four years away.

Ryan Stocks (James Moore) was gobsmacked to see his on-off lover's suddenly back in his life.

Fans have been convinced that Gail has been hiding something since her return.

She quickly rekindled her romance with Ryan and started working at The Woolpack pub's kitchen with Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) but it hasn't been plain sailing.

However, away from The Woolpack drama, viewers have become convinced Gail is the daughter of Faye Helders (Jane Gurnett).

Faye had a sex photograph of ex Mary Goskirk saved onto her phone she was blackmailing her with, but the ex-journalist believed she'd outsmarted the con artist with her daughter Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) by recording Faye's threats on Wednesday's (July 19) episode.

As Faye was handcuffed by an officer and shoved into a police car after being charged with blackmail, she warned Mary: "You will regret this!"

Mary was thrilled Faye had been arrested and celebrated with her loved ones in The Woolpack.

However, her happiness did not last long as she was soon left mortified to realise the explicit picture in question had been shared with all of her contacts.

Her grandchild even ended up seeing the photograph, with a distraught Mary saying: "They've seen it, they've all seen it."

During the heartbreaking episode, Emmerdale fans took to Twitter, with some believing Gail is actually behind the photo leak as Faye's accomplice.

One fan penned: Soooo I think the girl working behind the bar is Faye's daughter."

Another fan replied: "Yes!!!! That what I thought. She defo has something to do with her."

A third person said: "I do too. Very dodgy."

"Definitely," a fourth person wrote.

Someone else said: ""Ok, really wild theory… Gail could be related to Faye, and had a copy of the photo in case Faye got arrested.

"When she learnt of Faye’s arrest she sent the photo since she would be in the village group chat."

Fans will have to wait and see if Gail is related to Faye.
