Emmerdale: Bernice 'invites' Bob in
Bob Hope (played by Tony Audenshaw) is currently dealing with the news his partner Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson) cheated on him with Liam Cavanagh (Johnny McPherson).
As he nurses a broken heart, actor Tony has called for his son Jamie Hope (Alex Carter) to return and help through this latest rough patch.
“I’d love Alex Carter, who played Bob’s son Jamie, to come back,” Tony explained. “We are still mates.”
However, if they brought back his son Josh, Emmerdale would have to make a small change.
Tony continued: “They’d have to recast Bob’s other son, Josh, as the lad who played him was Marc Silcock, who later played Aaron’s boyfriend Jackson!

“Josh could be anywhere doing anything — the same with Bob’s daughter Roxy, who I think is in America.”
Jamie and Bob didn’t have the best relationship to start with as he felt his father had abandoned him and his sister Dawn.
However, when Jamie saw Bob marry Viv Hope, he decided to leave the past behind but it didn’t last long as he punched his father at the reception.
The pair had their ups and downs over the years and fans thought Jamie had found peace when he fell in love with Gennie Walker (Sian Reese-Williams).

The pair had decided to move to Newquay where they’d secured new jobs but when Jamie saw Bob kiss Gennie, believing they’d started their affair up once more, he broke things off.
Jamie decided to leave for Newquay alone leaving both Gennie and Bob heartbroken.
If Jamie did return, could he and Bob finally be able to put their tumultuous past behind them?
Or, will Jamie cause more heartache for his father?
Meanwhile, Tony opened up about the potential of a romance between Bob and Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles).
The pair have grown close since opening the B&B together and Tony told Digital Spy: “The Bernice and Bob stuff has just been great.
“The fabulous opening of the B&B, we really enjoyed it – there was a lot of comedy. Obviously there’s a bit of chemistry there.
Bob’s got history with feisty women, which Bernice definitely is.”
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV at 7.30pm.
