Dramatic Emmerdale exit for Gabby amid longing for married Billy

Gabby (Rosie Bentham) has an unmatchable talent for picking the wrong man to lust after and this latest poor move results in her making a typically dramatic decision in Emmerdale.

Things have been hard for the poor love, with no one truly understanding the pain she’s gone through since Nicky (Lewis Cope) hoodwinked her into believing he was straight and wanted a life with her.

Since then, her face has been rubbed in the messy situation more than once, with Nicky coming to the rescue of Clemmie after Gabby upset her by blurting out Dawn’s (Olivia Bromley) baby news. Gabby’s karma was to have Nicky hanging out around Home Farm.

Sorry, this video isn’t available any more.

To Gabby, everyone around her is being incredibly insensitive – with even Kim forcing her out of the house and back to work to face what she’s trying desperately to hide from. Especially as Nicky has moved on with Suni while Gabby can’t even get her date to show up.

Gabby is still in her selfish phase and can’t help but turn everyone’s pain around to hers, even brother Arthur’s (Alfie Clarke) when he’s dumped by Marshall (Max Fletcher).

But when a distraction comes her way, it looked like Gabby could be in serious trouble. After Billy (Jay Kontzle) comes to her rescue, Gabby finds herself fluttering her eyelashes at the dad-to-be.

This is not good news, and for once, Gabby knows it. While she’s done absolutely zero to distract herself from her infatuation, even she knows deep down that she can’t rip him away from his family.

She gives him the eye every chance she gets, which is seriously bad news Billy. But she finally comes to her senses and realises this infatuation can’t happen and makes a shock decision to make it stop – to move to Portugal and remove herself from the situation.

For Gabby it’s almost a sensible decision – rather than split up a family she decides to make herself scarce. Uncharacteristically considerate of her. Is that the last we’ll see of Gabby?
