DESPERATE to keep his one night stand a secret from Charity Dingle, Mackenzie Boyd tries to cut off any lose ends he can.
Next week, however, his mystery woman is revealed as he meets up with her on the outskirts of Emmerdale.
Who could Mackenzie (portrayed by Lawrence Robb) have cheated on Charity with?
In recent scenes, as the Woolpack landlady played by Emma Atkins recovered from the emotional trauma of her ectopic pregnancy, the village hunk spent the night with another woman.
Viewers have since speculated who she could be but, thankfully for them, the mystery will come to an end in scenes due to air on ITV next week.
It all begins when, after a few beers, Mack is upset that a drunken Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) makes an ill-timed joke about his affair.

The pair are left on the spot when Ryan Stocks (James Moore) senses something is awry and orders them to spill the beans.
Eventually, Mackenzie comes clean and tells Ryan – Charity's son – that he has had a fling.
This prompts Ryan to insist that he needs to tell Charity the truth and Mack worries how he will ever be able to tell her everything.
The following day, Mack threatens to fight back any accusations and Ryan's beaten.

Relieved to be safe, at least for the time being, Mack is unaware that Ryan is struggling to keep his secret.
There's more trouble ahead for Mack, however, as he gets a call from his one-night stand.
In later scenes, Mackenzie leaves the eponymous village to deal with the situation.
He heads to the outskirts of Emmerdale, on edge as he awaits his secret meeting.

Soon enough, Mackenzie's one-night stand is revealed – but who could it be?
Many fans have theorised that Mackenzie could have slept with Belle or Chas Dingle, as it could create more drama within Charity's family.
The clan is already feeling low due to Faith's cancer taking over, while Chas and Charity have already fought over the fate of the Woolpack.
However, another theory has emerged amongst fans as they suggest Mackenzie could have spent the night with Chloe Harris.
The latter has already been involved with Noah Dingle before bedding Jacob Gallagher and even Nate Robinson.
Could she have also slept with Mackenzie?
