Emmerdale fans predict a legendary character from the long-standing ITV soap will return to the village for the 50th anniversary to steal Victoria Sugden’s farm land.

Over the past few days, fans have watched the brunette beauty battle with whether or not she should sell her family farm to help pull her boyfriend David Metcalfe out of his crippling debt.

Back in October 2020, the chef discovered that she was the true owner of the land after her late grandmother Annie Sugden left her the land in her inheritance as she took a look over the deeds which at the time was being used by Moira Barton.

But as the anniversary for the Yorkshire-based soap looms ever closer, viewers are convinced that the star will have to fight to keep her land once again as they fear a legendary character will steal her land from her.

Victoria’s older brother Andy Sugden has been mentioned a couple times on Emmerdale since he left the show six years ago with his daughter Sarah Sugden still living in the village.

The TV hunk was booted from the village after he escaped custody after being framed for attempted murder by Rober’s fiancé Chrissie White back for shooting her father Lawrence White in 2016.

The true identity of the murderer was actually village villain Lachlan White who committed the fatal act in an attempt to stop her son from going to prison.

But now viewers believe he will finally be making his return to the soap after more than half a decade away from the show as viewers believe he will return to clear his name and take his rightful land.

One user predicted: “I reckon, in the Anniversary episodes, a past character, is going to turn up and claim they have a stake in Victoria’s land #Emmerdale a character, we haven’t seen for years!!”

It comes after viewers were left hiding behind a cushion as they watched the “cringeworthy” scene between David and Victoria on the farm.

Up until recently, the loving girlfriend was blissfully unaware of the shop owner’s serious money troubles, leaving his business at risk of going under and being unable to afford child support for his daughter, Amber.

Then after a sudden crash in his van with neighbour Nicola King, David decided to falsely claim he suffered whiplash from the crash in order to get compensation from the government and resolve his money issues.

As he met up with Victoria on the hill of her farm, she confessed: “Dreams aren’t real but what we have is and if my gran was here, she’d tell me to do what makes me happy and so would my dad.”

Surprised at her offer, David asked: “You'd really give all of this up for me?” to which she replied without hesitation: “For us, but for now on, if we’ve got a problem [then] we share it.”
