Emmerdale’s Amelia Spencer potential exit after health diagnosis

Emmerdale: Noah and Samson clash over Esther

Emmerdale’s Amelia Spencer (played by Daisy Campbell) has been struggling with childcare ever since she found out Samson Dingle (Sam Hall) was only spending time with their daughter because he wanted to blackmail Noah Dingle (Jack Downham) for money. However, the truth finally came out in recent scenes, which led Amelia to tell both Samson and Noah to leave her alone.

However, in official spoilers released by ITV, things are set to get worse for the college student.

Amelia is worried about who will look after Esther if anything happens to her.

Victoria Sugden (Katie Hill) tries to reassure Amelia, but is left concerned when she hurries off.

Once at the doctor’s surgery, Amelia confides in Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) about a lump she’s found on her chest.

Overwhelmed, Amelia panics when Manpreet refers her to the breast clinic.

Later, at the playground, Amelia receives a call from the clinic and agrees to go in the following day.

Noah witnesses Amelia crying but decides not to go over.

Could an exit be on the cards for Amelia following her worrying health scare?

In a recent interview, the actress who plays the young mum opened up about her future on the ITV soap.

She said: “I’d love to stay on it for as long as I can.

“I recently signed for another year and couldn’t be happier.

“But I never take it for granted because you never know when they might kill you off. It can happen to anyone.”

Amelia’s daughter was born unexpectedly during a storm which ended up taking the lives of two villagers.

Amelia giving birth in a barn was all part of the programme’s 50th anniversary.

When discussing what it was like to be involved of such an important storyline, Daisy added to The Sun: “When I was first told Amelia was having a baby, I couldn’t believe it because it was a storyline I’d always wanted for my character.

“And then for it to be part of the 50th… I felt really honoured.

“I was in the show for the big 40th when we did the live episode, but I was only nine. Still being in the show ten years later is just amazing.”

In recent scenes in the ITV soap, poor Amelia has struggled to balance her college work and raising a baby.

After finding out Noah had given Esther’s trust fund to Samson, money has been tight for the family.

Despite asking for extra hours at work, Dan Spencer (Liam Fox) is also struggling to provide for Amelia and his granddaughter.

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV.
