Over the past few months, Emmerdale viewers watched after Cain Dingle (played by Jeff Hordley) took the fall for his son Kyle Winchester (Huey Quinn) after Al Chapman (Michael Wildman) was shot dead. It was unclear at first who the real culprit was, but in recent weeks it emerged that the youngster was the guilty party.
Other than Kyle and Cain knowing what really happened, Moira Barton (Natalie J Robb) and Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson) are also aware and have been hellbent on protecting their son.
However, it seems the guilt is getting too much for Kyle and it’s only a matter of time before he spills the beans.
During Thursday night’s hour-long episode, Kyle goes missing after wetting the bed again.
The youngster is found by police, and during that moment confesses the truth.
However, when Amy and Moira are called to the station, they convince the police that Kyle was saying anything to get his dad out of prison.
They may have gotten away with it now, but how long will it be before Al’s real killer is exposed?
The actresses who play Amy and Moira recently opened up in an interview with Express.co.uk and other press about Kyle coming clean.
When discussing being interviewed by the police, Natalie began: “We all get called in individually and the thing is, we all know it was Kyle and so we have to pretend.”
“All he [Kyle] is thinking about is getting his dad out, and that’s the thing he can’t cope with,” the Amy Wyatt star explained.
“I don’t even think he’s thinking about the repercussions of what that would be.
“He has got one thing on his mind and he’s not thinking about long-term.”
“It really terrifying for both of them because the stakes are so high,” Natalie said before adding: “We don’t even know if the lawyers are going to get him off, or what’s going to happen with Cain.”
When asked whether Amy or Moira would “kill for Kyle”, the Moira Barton star replied: “Well, I have already killed.”
She continued: “Well, I mean that was a long time ago.
“It was five years ago because Bobby, who plays Isaac is five, so that happened then.
“But the reason I pushed her off that viaduct was that she slated every one of my children one after the other.”
“And at the end, I was still holding my womb together,” the actress joked.
Natalie explained Moira would do anything “when it comes to her kids” but after she killed Emma, her character “felt a lot of guilt”.
“I didn’t really want to have to kill someone but she deserved it,” she added.
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7pm on ITV.
