Emmerdale’s Ryan star pens adorable tribute to partner one year ahead of wedding

Emmerdale actor James Moore has given his fans an update on his upcoming wedding to his partner Sophie.

James, who plays Ryan Stocks in the soap, proposed to Sophie last year, and the pair will tie the knot this time next year.

And on Friday, 3 November, the 31 year old provided an update on the big day, as he confirmed that they will say I do on November 3 next year.

James posted a picture of Sophie on Instagram and wrote the caption: “A year from today we’ll be getting married. I can’t wait to start the rest of our lives together.”

By the time they get married, the couple will have been together for five and a half years after getting together in June 2019.

Fans were quick to comment on the post and wish them well for the big day, as one follower wrote: “Congratulations to you both, I hope you will be very happy.”

Another said: “Congratulations to you both jamesmooreactor, so happy for you.”

Someone else penned: “Congratulations to you both, that year will soon pass, and you'll have the rest of your lives together as Mr & Mrs.”

Back in June, James paid a sweet tribute to Sophie to mark their fourth anniversary, as he wrote: “4 years today with my favourite person, my partner, my best friend and now my fiancé too!!

“I’m so lucky and grateful for everything that you do, looking out for me and always being there for everything!!”

James has been in Emmerdale since 2018 and has been a part of several huge storylines since his arrival.

One of the biggest is the storyline which is currently being played out on screen.

Ryan recently found out that his little boy Oscar is poorly and needed a stem-cell transplant.

Oscar is the son of Ryan and his partner Gail, who were together many years ago, but split and have only recently got back together.

When the couple found out about Oscar’s illness, they both instantly got tested to see if they were a match.

Despite Ryan being the more likely match, it turned out that Gail was the one who had the right cells, and she has undergone an operation to do the transplant.

James recently spoke about the storyline, in a chat with the Metro, where he explained: “He [Ryan] had a hard time with meeting Oscar and him being sick because he’s battling his own internal fear he has where he thinks Oscar will reject him because of his disability because that’s what he’s experienced so he’s got that internalised fear of that happening again.

"I think that’s playing on his mind for quite a long time.”
