ESCAPE to the Chateau star Dick Strawbridge's son James shared a collection of new photos of the iconic Chateau De La Motte Husson – as he revealed its magical new addition.

The popular Channel 4 lifestyle programme sees the family take on the mammoth task of renovating a 45-bedroom chateau in the north west of France. 


With the latest series of the show fully underway, fans were thrilled to get a first look at the new installation to the French home.

The eldest son of Dick Strawbridge, 38 shared snaps of a stunning event tent up in the garden to his 110k followers on Instagram stories.

The tent looked very romantic and intimate – perfect for hosting wedding receptions.

The bell tent style addition featured clear walls and there were stunning fairy lights wrapped around the tethering ropes.

The latest and finale series of the show, has been following Dick and Angel as they transform their family home into a wedding venue.

The tent was most likely was designed for one of the wedding's that will be held at the venue.

In the latest episode of Escape to the Chateau, Dick and Angel decided to rebuild an old storage room into a games room for their their son Arthur, nine, and eight-year-old daughter Dorothy.

They dug out a ton of old and dusty games, including an old train set, and decided to take care of them in the new games hub.

The fun-filled games room was lined with fairylights and boasted an air hockey table, a newly-decorated model train set, and footballs dangling from the ceiling.

Both Arthur and Dorothy were ecstatic with their new play room.

Dick and Angel have invited fans on their renovation journey at the 45-bedroom chateau, but their popular Channel 4 show is now coming to an end.
