EUROVISION legend Johnny Logan has been left with a "broken heart" after the death of his older brother.
The Hold Me Now star, 69, took to social media to announce the passing of Michael Sherrard last night.
Michael died exactly six years after their brother Eamon passed away in 2017.
The 71-year-old, who lived in Manchester, had been Johnny’s guitarist and musical director for many years.
In an emotional post, Johnny said "there’s a hole in our hearts now that will never heal".
He wrote on Facebook: "It’s with a broken heart that I have to announce the passing of my brother Michael Sherrard.
"He passed away in the company of his three beautiful children. I was with him the day before.
"He is survived by his children Chloe, Ellie and Nathaniel, his grandson Henry, our sister Fiona, our cousin Miggie, myself and our extended family.
"Most of you have known Michael over the years and you will know how much we loved each other.
"There’s a hole in our hearts now that will never heal. I wish I could say more but right now words fail me.

"He passed away six years to the day since we lost our younger brother Eamonn.
"I’ll see you again my lovely brothers, Michael and Eamonn, with our parents but not yet.
"I write this with a broken heart and tears in my eyes. Love always, Sean."
A number of fans rushed to send their condolences to Johnny and his family.
One person wrote: "My deepest and sincere condolences to you and your family Sean."
Another added: "My deepest condolences Sean to you and your family.
"I‘m sending hugs and prayers. RIP Michael. May your memories shine bright and light up those dark moment."
Someone else said: "I am so sorry for you and your family's loss of Michael, he has given us all so many laughs and great music over the years I will miss him, condolences Sean to you and the family."
SOULS OF LATE BROTHERS
In September, Logan told how he carries the souls of his late brothers on his shoulders when he steps on stage.
Johnny, who took the competition's trophy home to Ireland three times, told host Joe Duffy on RTE's The Meaning of Life that he believes he will join his late family in another place when his time comes.
Johnny, whose real name is Sean Sherrard, said: "Liam lived for about three weeks, but he was baptised.
"In the teachings at that time, it meant he was an angel.
"When you wanted to talk to God or someone on your side it was always Liam, I grew up with that. It's difficult for me to talk about Eamon. I still talk to him.
"Whenever I go on stage I kind of put them on my shoulders and say, 'Liam, you sit here and Eamon, you sit there.'
"That's a routine I go through when I'm singing."
ASHES WISH
Opening up about Eamon, Johnny said that when he passes away, he hopes his ashes will be spread near Howth in Dublin, where they grew up.
He said: "I think about him a lot and I hope and believe one day we'll always be together.
"We put some of his ashes in the sea off Ireland's Eye and I hope to put some of mine in there with him so he's not alone."
And Johnny doesn't just keep his brothers close to his heart, revealing that he carries a Feis Ceoil medal his father won in the 1930s when he is on stage performing.
He said: "When he died, I lost my voice for a while and whenever I sing I put this on and I feel he comes on stage with me and it's something physical I can touch.
