Last weekend, Fleur East landed in the bottom two alongside Ellie Taylor and had to perform in the dance-off. However, after performing their routines once again, all four Strictly Come Dancing judges decided to save the X Factor star from elimination. Although, despite scoring her first 40 of the series with Vito Coppola, Fleur may miss out on the final.
Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, body language expert Darren Stanton has shared his thoughts on the series so far.
He went on to explain that he believes both Ellie and Fleur deserved to be in the dance-off.
On behalf of Betfair Bingo, Darren began: “I think deep down they were both expecting to be.
“Fleur has lost a lot of confidence in recent weeks. She has either been exceptionally good or at the bottom of the leaderboard.
“As we are heading rapidly towards the final, I think people are going to be getting tired and those that can push through, I feel will do the very best.”
The body language expert went on to predict that Fleur will land in the dance-off again this weekend, meaning she may not make the final.
“I especially feel that Fleur has not got the same drive and level of deep rapport required to deliver the standard set by the judges,” the expert shared.
“I’m predicting she is going to be in the same position again next week unless something dramatic happens.
“Ellie is a similar story, however, it’s clear that she never took her time on the show for granted.
“Each week she always appeared genuinely surprised when making it through to the following week.
“Again, she’s definitely no stranger to being in a dance-off and obviously felt in her heart that this was her week to leave.
“She might be exiting the process, but she will live to fight another day. Overall, I believe the right person left the show.”
Darren also shared his thoughts on Kym Marsh, who had to pull out last weekend after contracting coronavirus.
However, the former soap star made her return on Friday night and it was quite the comeback.
Speaking about whether Kym could be at risk after taking a week off, he said: “I think Kym will still deliver a very strong performance, despite taking some time out.
“She has real determination and focus, which clearly shows in her body language.
“I think she’s past the point of no return and has sacrificed too much to give up now, so I do believe she will continue.
“Shirley tends to score Kim quite harshly and from her facial expressions – known as a microexpression, which flashes a person’s true emotion.
“Recently, I do not believe that Shirley has a great deal of time for Kym.”
Strictly Come Dancing airs tonight ar 5.40pm on BBC One.
