FOOTBALLER John Fashanu is the second name for this year’s Dancing On Ice.
The 60-year-old will be taking to the ice alongside Patsy Palmer, who was announced yesterday.
Speaking about taking part, he said: “I'm so excited to be a part of Dancing on Ice! I don't think it'll come as a surprise to people that I'm very competitive – I am definitely in it to win it.
“And this may be one of the scariest things I've ever signed up for but I couldn't be more ready for the challenge!"
Throughout his footballing career as a centre forward, which spanned from 1978 until 1995, John was part of a Wimbledon team who were known as "the crazy gang" back in the day.
He also used to play for Norwich City, Miramar Rangers, Lincoln City, Crystal Palace, Millwall and Aston Villa.
He presented Gladiators so is no stranger to weekend evenings on ITV and he’s had a go at reality TV before – appearing on I’m A Celebrity and Celebrity SAS in the past.
Yesterday it was revealed that Patsy would be taking part in the Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby fronted show.
The EastEnders legend, 50, is based in Los Angeles so will practice Stateside as opposed to the rinks of the UK, before jetting to her homeland for the live shows.

She said: "I wanted to challenge myself, get back to work and get out of my comfort zone. I thought I'd just go for it.
"It seems a lot of fun and I love ice skating, but I'm not an ice skater. I've been asked to do it before, but I was absolutely terrified.
"The pact I made to myself when I turned 50, which I did this year, is that I have to do things to challenge myself for the next couple of years.
"I don't want to get stuck in this weird phase of 'ahh I'm 50'. It's such a weird age.
"This is for all the 50-year-olds who think they can't do this. I'm actually quite scared now."
Dancing On Ice is set to return to ITV and ITVX in 2023 with 11 new celebrities who will take on the challenge of skating live each week in a bid to impress both the panel and viewers at home.
