EMMERDALE's former star Jake Roche reveals he is currently living off Universal Credit and living with his famous mum.

The former soap star admitted he is worlds away from his old life as an actor and popstar, and dubs himself a "failure".


The actor appeared in the ITV soap Emmerdale where he played Hannah Barton's friend Isaac Nuttal between August and October 2010.

When approached by a TikTok user who posed the question: "What are you up to now?"

Jake replied: "I'm on Universal Credit, and I live with my mum in her garage. I'm a failure."

The TikTok user then responded back saying: "Firstly I'd like to say you are not a failure."

He continued: "Everyone goes through hardships in life and you will get through yours."

Jake smiled before saying: "Thank you, you are a legend."

The ex soap star was briefly known as the lead singer of pop band Rixton, which charted their song "Me and My Broken Heart".

Jake is the son of EastEnders actor Shane Ritchie and Loose Women star Coleen Nolan, who divorced when Jake was nine years old.

He's also appeared in the BBC musical film Rules of Love and ITV drama Scott and Bailey.

The ex actor was previously linked to Little Mix singer Jesy Nelsonwho he got engaged to in 2015.

The pair later split in November 2020.
