Furious Maura Higgins shows up at her nephew's school after learning he's being bullied | The Sun

MAURA Higgins was left fuming after she discovered that her nephew was being bullied and decided to confront them.

The Love Island star, 31, had the perfect way to shut down the bullies who were taunting the schoolboy.

The Irish beauty rocked up to the school Thursday in a bid to stop the bullying.

But Maura was bombarded by excited school children who raced to take photos with her.

The brunette star tried to keep a low-profile, but hundreds of kids had already spotted Maura and began to surround the car.

Alongside the short video, she wrote: "When you get a phone call to say he's being bullied at school yesterday…so you make sure you're on the school pick up today."

She added: Remember kids be kind.

"Ps: I'm not a regular aunty, I'm a cool aunty."

Maura's latest appearance comes after it emerged that the Irish star is a frontrunner to host the rebooted Big Brother.

ITV bosses think the model, who made the dating show’s final in 2019 with Curtis Pritchard, has the personality and profile the highly sought-after role commands.

Since the dating show, Maura has starred on Dancing on Ice and been cast as host of beauty transformation show, Glow Up Ireland, while also grabbing headlines when she dated Strictly’s Giovanni Pernice.

An insider said: “Producers are determined to distance themselves from former Big Brother names but the former favourite, Mo Gilligan, is now busy in the States.

“Now bosses are looking at female stars who have the strength to hold the show together, while also the warmth to gently quiz contestants in the way that Davina McCall and Emma Willis did so well.

“Maura is a homegrown ITV talent who has all that – plus of course looks great on screen.”
