Furious Rylan hits back at trolls who accused him of ‘bragging he has money’ after begging fans for help for his mum | The Sun

RYLAN Clark has hit back at cruel trolls who accused him of bragging about money as he desperately tried to secure treatment for his injured mum.

The TV and radio star's mum Linda, 71, suffered a nasty fall on holiday in Spain that left her with a broken arm and leg.

Celebrity Gogglebox star Linda required surgery, and Rylan, 34, has been doing everything possible to ensure her return to the UK as safely and quickly as possible once she was cleared to fly.

He managed to secure a private jet to fly her back to the UK and explored using private healthcare once back on home soil.

After receiving mean comments, Rylan took to Twitter last night to clarify the situation.

He outlined his mum's injuries and then said: "I've tried to book private medical aftercare because 1, I can afford to and 2, I believe if you can afford it you should, so you don't have to put anymore burden on an exhausted NHS."

He revealed three companies rejected removing surgical staples from Linda because they didn't carry out the original procedure.

Rylan praised Linda's local GP surgery for issuing an urgent referral to the nearest hospital's fracture clinic, however, he still hadn't received a response within four days, which he put down to them being overwhelmed.

He continued: "Now because of my tweet a private company that will accept her got in touch and will see her this week thankfully.

"Hope that clears up any confusion for you trolls saying I'm bragging about money, slating the NHS, media included.

"My priority is my mum, always has been, always will be.

"Have a lovely day."

Hours earlier Rylan vented on X, formerly known as Twitter, about his mum's plight.

He said: “Since Friday have been waiting for the NHS hospital to come back to me, have been number 76 in the queue since this morning, finally get through to be told they haven’t received her referral (which they have).”

“My mum is 71 and has other serious health issues. I know the NHS is on its knees at the minute but what on earth would she do without family round her. I’ve been told there’s nothing else the GP surgery can do (who have been great) so here with my mum in 2 casts. “

He finished by pleading with his 1.7 million followers for help, which eventually led to a solution.
