Robbie Williams talks about his feud with Gary Barlow

Gary Barlow, 52, looked “petrified” after he was informed he would be eating his “food hell” on Saturday Kitchen.

During the episode, host Matt Tebbutt unveiled the moment Gary was going to endure his food hell or food heaven on the show.

His idea of food heaven was a delicious burger with all the trimming and his worst food was haggis.

Matt revealed: “The people have spoken and 52 per cent have voted for food hell!”

A horrified Gary replied: “Do you know what? I can’t believe it. But those gigs we played, they were the best audiences ever!”

BBC viewers were divided over Gary having to face haggis live on-air, with some noting how scared he looked.

Taking to Twitter, Kerry commented: “The hate that Gary gets on here from non-fans every time he’s on TV is upsetting It’s okay not to like someone, just don’t watch. But bullying them on social media is just wrong. Leave him alone.” (sic)

Sue wrote: “Poor Gary looking petrified to eat haggis #saturdaykitchen.”

Louise sarcastically said: “Food hell it is for Mr Barlow. He looks delighted #saturdaykitchen.”

Tricia added: “Dry yer eyes, it isn’t even haggis #saturdaykitchen.”

Emma remarked: “Poor Gary – he’s in haggis hell. #saturdaykitchen #heavenorhell @GaryBarlow.”

@Macaroni_pie added: “First recorded recipe for haggis comes from Lancashire not far from where Gary was born. #saturdaykitchen.”

However, when Matt served up the dish, Gary look pleasantly surprised by its appearance and the presentation on the plate.

“It does look beautiful, all the food today has been amazing,” Gary admitted before tucking into the haggis dish which was served with a glass of Malbec.

He then revealed: “I take it back, maybe I am in food heaven. Maybe I’ve had the wrong haggis because this is delicious.”

Matt and the team were thrilled Gary gave the recipe his seal of approval which he enjoyed with the red wine on the BBC show.

Saturday Kitchen continues next Saturday at 10am on BBC One.
