Great British Bake Off viewers were left “in hysterics” on tonight’s episode after contestant Carole served up yet another baking disaster.

Served with the task of whipping up steamed puddings for judges Paul Hollyood and Prue Leith, the 59-year-old from Dorset attempted to construct a delicious dish but was left mortified after her puddings collapsed as soon as she took them out of the oven.

Viewers took to social media to comment on Carole’s gaffe, with one gushing: “Definitely one of the best ever #GBBO disasters. Thank you Carole.”

Another said: “How has Carole made it this far!?! I am yet to see any evidence that she can actually bake! She’s so funny tho.”

"I’m on the FLOOR at Carole is anyone else in hysterics?” spewed a third.

Things didn’t get any better for the pink-haired baker as she went on to flunk her lemon meringue challenge soon after.

As the judges indulged in a blind taste test, they blasted her pie as “soggy” and examined how it had cracked “all the way around.”

Carole has become known for her often less-than-perfect dishes.

On a recent episode with a Mexican theme, the technical challenge asked contestants to make tacos from scratch.

Carole seemed unfamiliar with Mexican food in general, wondering what some of the items on her instruction sheet were.

Many of the contestants seemed a bit confused by the items on the instruction list, with some utterly perplexed at the sight of guacamole.

Carole looked confused and pronounced it "guaci-mole-o" — which possibly doesn't bode well for her execution of the dish.

However, it was her handling of the avocado for the guacamole portion of the challenge that caused Twitter to erupt.

Cupping the avocado in her left hand, Carole proceeded to slice the skin off with a knife as you might peel a potato.

"Carole peeling an avocado like a potato is such chaotic good," said oen viewer and, "is anyone else flabbergasted by Carole peeling an avocado with a knife?"

Domino's Pizza UK also felt the need to comment on the platform with, "RIP Carole's avocado."

The Great British Bake Off airs on Channel 4 on Tuesdays at 8pm
