    GMB’s Richard Madeley wasn’t too impressed after Susanna Reid made a thinly veiled dig – so much so he told her to “get out of here".

    The hit ITV show returned for another instalment on Monday (September 25) with Susanna and Richard back at the helm. But within just minutes of the show airing, things soon took an awkward turn.

    After Strictly star Angela Rippon's jaw-dropping performance at the weekend, the two hosts were quick to discuss it on the show. Susanna quipped: “Well there’s one obvious person to ask if you can still be a sex symbol in your sixties.” She added: “Richard Madeley!”

    Richard didn’t seem too impressed and fired back: “Oh get out of here! What?!” Susanna chimed in and explained: “I’m just asking,” but then the crew could be heard wolf whistling.

    Susanna added: “There we go, the crew think so,” before she said: “Actually I’m not so sure that’s appropriate is it.” Richard replied: “I’m not going to ask how old you are.”

    Susanna said: “I’m 52, why don’t you want to ask?” Richard then said: “Because I wanted to be a gentleman.”

    Taking another pop at her co-star, Susanna quipped: “That’s quite an old-fashioned notion. You’re showing your age.”

    It's fair to say TV veteran Angela stole the show on Saturday night (September 23) during her live dancing debut on Strictly. On the BBC show's launch night, Angela, 78, shocked fans with just how high she lifted her leg over her dance partner Kai Waddington's shoulder.

    Angela's leg kept going and going as she tried to cover her modesty by pulling her dress down. After her first dance on the launch night, Angela took social media by storm as hoards of fans took to X to buzz about her racy move.

    One fan wrote: "How can Angela Rippon get her leg up that high at 78?? I can't even do that at 23 #Strictly" A second added: "Kudos to Angela Rippon! I can't even get my leg up that high at 34! Incredible! #strictly."

    Angela recently spoke out on how it feels to be the oldest-ever Strictly contestant. She told the Standard: “I’m going to wear [being the oldest contestant] as a badge of honour. I’ve had so many people with my hair colour say to me: ‘We’re so glad you’re doing it.’

    “I had a woman in the checkout at Waitrose, she stopped [me] when I was loading up on the checkout, and she said, ‘You don’t know me, I just want to say, that there’s a feeling among all our friends that women of our age and our hair colour are invisible – you go and make some headlines for us!’”
