Gogglebox’s Izzi Warner was joined by her two children, Bobby and Bessie, in Friday night’s episode.

Schedules across all TV channels have been altered significantly since the Queen’s sad death on Thursday but in a bid to provide “continuity” for viewers, Channel 4 decided to screen its series premiere as planned.

The episode delighted fans, and saw the gang giving their verdict on a typically eclectic collection of shows, including E4 hit Married At First Sight UK and dark comedy Bad Sisters.

Izzi and her sister Ellie are often joined by their pet dogs on the programme but their other family members, including their partners, rarely pop up on the show. Izzi shares her two kids with boyfriend Grant.

In one scene during Friday's episode, ‘Auntie Ellie’ offered the kids two ice lollies, as sister Izzi told her off.

Bessie adorably sat on her mum's lap during the exchange while Bobby sported a football kit and stood next to the sofa.

After getting the two kids their treats, Ellie cheekily bit off a chunk of Bobby's lolly as the family laughed.

Gogglebox’s much-anticipated return also included another adorable introduction as Georgia Bell’s two-month-old son Hugh made his TV debut.

The 21 year old and her boyfriend Josh Newby welcomed their son back in July, with Georgia announcing that they’d become parents with a beautiful snap of the newborn on Instagram.

While Gogglebox aired as planned, Friday’s TV schedules saw programmes including This Morning and Loose Women replaced with rolling news coverage.

Much of Saturday’s programming has also been altered, though ITV will be going ahead with their regular Saturday night schedule, airing programmes including The Voice UK and The Masked Dancer.

Disruption could continue into next week as the 10-day period of mourning following the Queen’s death continues.

Updates on shows such as the Strictly Come Dancing and Great British Bake Off launches are expected in the coming days.

The National Television Awards, which were due to take place next week, have been postponed until October.

Meanwhile, the Royal family, and the nation, will continue grieving the late Queen Elizabeth II as plans are rapidly put into place for her funeral in roughly nine days’ time.

King Charles, as he is now known, has immediately ascended to the throne, though his coronation does not have a date yet.

As part of the changes, Camilla has been named Queen Consort, as Elizabeth II wished, while Kate Middleton has inherited Diana’s title, Princess of Wales.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s children, Archie and Lilibet, have been named a Prince and Princess.
