Last week, The Masked Dancer made its return to ITV with another set of mystery celebs. Joel Dommett was back to front the programme, while judges Oti Mabuse, Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross and Peter Crouch tried to guess who was hidden behind the masks – just from their dance moves.

However, speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk and other press about the latest series, the judges admitted they really struggle not to give away the names of the stars.

Davina explained she has to walk out of the room when she is watching the show with her children.

“It’s really hard because I’ve got three kids and we sit and watch the show together,” the former Big Brother host began.

“And then the screws come out and they start turning, and they’re like, ‘Is it Rubber?’ And it’s really… sometimes I have to kind of leave the room.”

The fitness fanatic went on to add her children have even come close to guessing the celebrities’ identities.

The panel may have wrapped up filming for the series, but when chatting about which stars are hidden under the masks, Oti said she struggles not to give their gender away.

“I find it hard when you’re talking about them like in moments like this to not reveal the gender,” the dancer added.

“That is so difficult when you go this character…he and you’re like, ‘Oh no!'”

Oti’s co-stars may think the dance pro has the “edge” when it comes to spotting the professional dancers, but the 32-year-old insisted she is clueless.

She argued: “I think that’s Jonathan because Jonathan’s job is to know people, know what they’ve done in their career.”

“I don’t think I’d be able to tell whether it is [one of them],” Oti added when asked whether she’d recognise one of her Strictly pals.

“There are so many people connected to you [Davina], and me actually but I don’t think I’d be able to tell.”

“But that is the fun part, the reaction,” she added.

Last weekend, Hollywood actor Jesse Metcalfe was unveiled as Astronaut.

The star impressed the judges with his moves as he performed to the Weekend’s Blinding Lights however, it wasn’t enough to keep Jesse in the competition.

Speaking after his exit, the John Tucker Must Die actor said: “I’ve absolutely loved playing Astronaut and being part of this season of The Masked Dancer here in the UK.

“It was just incredible. I think I really took to the character.

“I was shocked to be voted off so early and a little disappointed, but the choreographers and everyone behind the show treated me so great, I had such a great time.

“My favourite moment of the whole process was being introduced to Astronaut, to the costume and putting the costume on for the first time.

“I just loved the costume and I tried to embody it to the best of my ability.”

The Masked Dancer airs on Saturday at 6.30pm on ITV.
