Warren (Jamie Lomas) and Sienna’s (Anna Passey) recent rivalry has reached extremes, but there are sure to be even more twists, according to Hollyoaks boss Lucy Allan.

Viewers will remember the dramatic scenes that saw Sienna poison Warren during a romantic picnic, in order to extract a confession from him about what really happened to her ex, Brody (Adam Woodward).

In an exclusive interview with Metro.co.uk, Lucy revealed that the story is far from over yet.

‘There is so much sport to be had between Sienna and Warren in coming weeks that I think will really cheer the audience and keep them guessing who knows what when where and how,’ she told us.

The storyline is set to be a battle of wills between the bitter ex-lovers, as Warren toys with his ‘killer’, leaving her wondering what he actually remembers of that fateful picnic.

Lucy was quick to praise the actors for their work on this and other storylines.

‘There’s such a natural chemistry between the two of them,’ she enthused. ‘We have to have them on that screen together and watch the interaction between them – it’s obvious it’s going to work.

‘That’s why the writers sit in the writers’ room every month and pitch those stories and ideas that keep those characters fresh and moving forward.’

‘Jamie is just extraordinary as a performer and he really throws himself into it so wholeheartedly. As long as he believes that character and I think that’s what’s important to all of us as we sit in the writers’ room.

‘The truth is a character can do anything as long as you know why they’re doing it. That’s the joy of soap, characters you’ve known and lived with for so many, many years, someone like Warren who seemingly has done it all, how you keep taking that forward.’
