Sam Chen-Williams (Matthew McGivern) opens up about something that he’s been keeping close to his chest for quite some time in Hollyoaks next week, confiding in girlfriend and colleague Zoe Anderson (Garcia Brown).
The conversation comes about in the wake of Zoe opening up about her own trauma, revealing all about a horrifying event that she went through in the past.
Sam is lost for words in the wake of her revelation, as Zoe discusses what she went through, revealing that she’s seeking counselling at work in the wake of Saul Reeves’ (Chris Charles) tragic death.
His reaction to her trauma, however, leaves Zoe somewhat confused and it soon comes to light that Sam has got a secret of his own.
The question is: just what is it?
That remains to be seen, but subsequent scenes will see him confide in Lizzie (Lily Best) and his uncle Ethan Williams (Matthew James Bailey), who both offer him support.
In fact, they encourage him to come clean to Zoe about what happened with his birth mum.
Sam ultimately takes their advice, telling Zoe that is family have a history of mental illness.
At the last minute, however, he lies, telling her that it was Ethan who struggled with his mental health, and not his mum.
Will Zoe find out the whole truth? We’ll just have to wait and see!
Zoe and Sam have been in an on an off relationship for a number of months, and have continued to see one another despite their boss Lexi Calder (Natalie Anderson) forbidding it.
One to watch: Monday September 13 at 7pm on E4.
