Hollyoaks star Ali Bastian gives birth to second child

Hollyoaks star Ali Bastian has given birth to her second child.

The actress, who played Becca Dean on the Channel 4 soap, announced her happy news in a new interview, just months after revealing that she was expecting baby number two.

‘She’s arrived!,’ the Doctors star, who is already mum to two-year-old Isla, told OK! Magazine. ‘David [O’Mahoney] and I welcomed our beautiful little girl into the world last Saturday.

Ali, 40, revealed that Isla is the ‘proudest big sister’ and promised fans more news soon.

Congratulations!

The soap star, who competed on Strictly come Dancing back in 2009, welcomed first child Isla with husband David back in 2020, with the couple introducing her to fans on Instagram.

Sharing the same two pictures – one black and white snap of Isla’s tiny feet being held up and another of her little hand – Ali and David revealed that they have already fallen head over heels for their daughter.

The caption read: ‘She’s here! We welcomed our beautiful baby girl into the world last week – words cannot describe how much we love her already.

‘We have climbed whole heartedly into the most beautiful of new parent bubbles and are enjoying some quiet family time. Mum and baby are doing brilliantly. More soon xxxx.’

Ali rose to fame on Channel 4’s Hollyoaks, playing Becca Dean for a total of six years.

Becca featured in several huge storylines during her stint on the show, including an inappropriate relationship with student Justin Burton.

‘I think the fantastic thing – and remains to be the fantastic thing – about Hollyoaks is that I think they go for it with storylines, and break new ground,’ Ali said to Metro.co.uk two years ago, when Hollyoaks re-aired select episodes from the storyline in question during the Covid-19 pandemic when new episodes of the show were being filmed.
