She as born on April 23, 1984 in Coundoun, County Durham.
Sara founded her craft supplier company, Crafter's Companion in 2005 whilst she was studying for her business degree at the University of York.
Her big break came when she designed and marketed her ground-breaking product The Enveloper.
She sold over 8,000 in the first 24 of hours of the product being debuted on shopping channel Ideal World.
When Sara graduated with her first-class honours degree, she already had a business with a turnover of over half a million pounds.

When did Sara join Dragons' Den?
It was announced Sara was replacing Jenny Campbell on Dragons' Den for the seventeenth series.
At the time she said: "I’ve always been very passionate about investing time in and sharing my expertise with other entrepreneurs.
"And hopefully I’ll be able to help some of the contestants to really take their businesses to the next level."
Is Sara married?
Sara married her husband Simon Davies in September 2007 and they share two children, Oliver and Charlie.
The two met as teenagers.
Simon is credited with helping Sara to co-found Crafter's Companion.
What else has Sara Davies been in?
Sara was a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing in 2021.
She was paired with Aljaž Škorjanec but unfortunately they didn't make it through to the final.
Overall, they were the seventh pairing to be eliminated from the show.
Sara also stars in Ultimate Wedding Planner alongside Fred Sirieix and wedding industry expert Raj Somaiya.
The trio will help eight wedding planners battle it out to prove they can design the most spectacular wedding ceremonies for six couples.
Each week someone will be eliminated from the competition in the fight for the title of Ultimate Wedding Planner.
