During the latest episode of, I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! radio DJ, Chris Moyles discussed the moment he decided to turn his life around. He spoke with Loose Women star Charlene White and his fellow campmates about his dramatic weight loss and how he needed to change his diet.
“I once bought a microwavable kebab,” Chris explained as Owen Warner hit back: “Come on, you’re better than that!”
Chris said: “From what I remember it tasted alright. But back then I was eating all sorts of c**p.”
He added: “I didn’t necessarily eat a lot but what I did eat was all bad. All bad.”
When asked by Charlene about how he turned things around, he said: “A mixture of things. I climbed Kili [Mount Kilimanjaro].
“I was 17.5stone at Christmas and we were climbing in March. I got down to 16 [before we went].
Climbed Kili and lost a stone in a week. I sat at 15 [stone] for ages and I had a trainer, and one day I just went, ‘It’s a waste of time this training, I’m not losing any weight’.
“And he just barked at me, ‘That’s because your diet’s s***!’
“So we had a big chat… I fell down to 12 stone really quickly. 10 years ago [that was].”
Fans have also taken to social media to discuss Chris’ weight loss, and while many have praised the star for the transformation, others say they are “fed up” of him talking about it.
Lauren Reynolds wrote: “If I’d lost as much weight as Chris I think I’d be proud and talk about it to be nice. #imaceleb.”
Matt wrote: “Good on Chris for the weight loss, but is this all were going to hear from him?”
Emmanuelle joked: “Chris Moyles actually motivating me to lose weight until he said don’t drink every day.”
Ciara said: “Chris should keep mentioning his weight loss imo not easy to lose like 7 stone.” (sic)
“#ImACeleb I listen to Chris moyles every day. He’s coming across so well,” Nikki praised.
“Yes he lost weight and it’s a thing. Get over it.”
Francesca pointed out: “Does anyone know if Chris Moyles has lost weight????? Not sure if he’s mentioned it???”
Elsewhere in the programme, the campmates sat around enjoying their first proper meal together.
“It tastes of nothing but it’s alright,” Chris commented as he ate his rice and beans.
“I’m worried about in the middle of the night… but we’ll see how that goes.”
Olivia Attwood added: “It’s so weird how it doesn’t taste of anything.”
“It’s rice and beans, this is the I’m A Celebrity right of passage and it was OK. But then I eat a plain Nando’s, so who am I to complain about plain rice and beans?”
I’m A Celebrity….Get Me Out of Here! airs weekdays at 9pm on ITV.
