I'm A Celeb's Babatunde's secret soap past revealed – do you remember his EastEnders role? | The Sun

BABATUNDE Aléshé has had Gogglebox viewers in stitches and he's currently slumming it in the I'm a Celebrity jungle.

But he previously made an appearance in BBC1 soap EastEnders – and was part of a huge storyline.

Babatunde, 34, turned up in Walford in 2011 when he played a nurse called Sam who treated Tanya Branning [Jo Joyner] at the beginning of her chemotherapy treatment.

He later made another appearance to inform Tanya that her friend – who was also battling cancer – had died.

As well as his appearance in EastEnders, Babatunde also starred in New Tricks back in 2003.

Babatunde has also used his acting skills in Waking the Dead and films including Pelican Blood and The Naked Poet.

He now sits alongside Mo Gilligan in the celebrity version of Gogglebox.

Despite I'm a Celebrity's hard nature, Babatunde says he isn’t bothered about getting “hangry” from the lack of tasty meals.

The comedian explained that he’d “struggled” growing up, and hinted that the rice and bean jungle diet wouldn’t faze him.

He shared: “I grew up in Tottenham man, so really I lived a struggled life, do you know what I mean? So getting hangry I kind of know how to deal with.
