EMMERDALE star Fiona Wade has said an emotional goodbye to her co-stars after quitting the soap.

The actress – who is best known for portraying Priya Sharma – has been part of the ITV programme for 11 years.

Fiona, 43, was joined by her soap co-stars for a leaving bash over the weekend as she waved goodbye to her "family".

The actress posed for photos with her co-stars and friends from Emmerdale, as well as her show make-up artists.

Fiona looked stunning as she got all dressed up in a little black dress, which she paired with an oversized blazer.

She completed her look by tying her dark locks into a neat up do, and donned a towering pair of heels.

The star was seen posing with her co-stars Isabel Hodgins, who plays Victoria Sugden, and Chris Bisson, who is Jai Sharma on the soap.

Elsewhere, she was joined by Eden Taylor Draper, who portrays Belle Dingle, and Rebecca Sarker, known as Manpreet Jutla.

Ethan Anderson actor Emile John was also in attendance, as well as Matty Barton's Ash Palmiosciano and Dawn Taylor star Olivia Bromley.

While Fiona also tagged Kevin Mathurin, who is known for playing Charles Anderson, at her star-studded bash.

Elsewhere, Fiona posed for a loved-up snap with her husband Simon Cotton, who plays Hugh Bryant on the show.

She penned to her followers: "It’s been the most incredible 11 years playing Priya Sharma so saying goodbye to my emmerdale family wasn’t easy.

"I have loved playing Priya and I am so thankful to Emmerdale and ITV for the incredible opportunities they have given me over so many years.

"So many wonderful memories and such a gift of a job. Thank you to Reece Dinsdale, Abe Jukes and George Siougas, who were my wonderful directors on my last week.

"Thank you for your compassion and great direction as always! Thank you to the whole Emmerdale team you are all amazing!

"To my beautiful friends that I take with me, Thank you for being there it meant the world.

"To my wonderful Sharma family you know how much I love you. Thank you for everything, and to all the Emmerdale viewers."

"Here's to the next chapter," she teased at the end of the post.

Emmerdale bid goodbye to Fiona's character Priya Sharma and her daughter Amba tonight as they embarked on a new life in London.

Businesswoman Priya was left furious after ex David Metcalfe tried to put a stop to her plans by kidnapping their daughter and doing a runner.

She was so angry that tonight she decided to move up the timetable of her move to today.
