This year, I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! has been full of ups, downs and plenty of drama. From the early exits of Grace Dent and Jamie Lynn Spears to Frankie Dettori spilling the beans on an "incident" that could "escalate," it's fair to say that there's been a lot going on.
But one of the most recent revelations that seems to have rocked the boat is to do with First Dates star and French maître d'hôtel, Fred Sirieix.
According to a slew of Twitter threads, fans have a theory that the 51 year old has a game plan – and they're not too happy about it.
To recap, upon entering the jungle, Fred appointed himself as head chef, which the nation found to make sense thanks to his experience in the service industry. Plus, his work alongside celebrity chefs Gordon Ramsay and Gino D'Acampo. Naturally, cooking dinner every night gave him a lot of air time as he flexed his culinary skills and gave his advice and insight on how to prepare the infamous I'm a Celeb rice and beans.
However, when former campmate Nella Rose was chosen to be camp leader, she decided to switch things up a little, and moved Fred to pot washing duties while she delegated chef status to This Morning's Josie Gibson.
Due to Fred's absence from the campfire, which has meant his screen time has diminished slightly, fans now think that he's trying to increase it in other ways. For example, during last night's episode, Fred was adamant that he would take on the trial because he hadn't done one yet.
He told his campmates: "I'm going to go. I want to go because I want to go and do my best to bring the stars, to bring stars back for you. If everybody agrees that I'm going, then we're done. He then added: "This camp has all been equal, it's only fair I go. If you want me to go, just say. Can you vote for me? Thank you. I am delighted."
Some of the celebs clearly weren't enamoured with Fred volunteering as tribute, with Hollyoaks' Nick Pickard telling him to "chill out" and give others a chance to explain why they'd like to do it. Elsewhere, JLS' Marvin Humes had also expressed his desire to do the trial, saying: "I was definitely up for doing it, but we just want to eat."
After the scenes aired, many viewers took to Twitter with their theory. "I honestly think Fred is worried about getting voted off, Frankie left bc of not having screen time and I think he's worried," one person said.
A second echoed this sentiment, typing: "I knew Fred was p***ed about not being chosen for the trial yesterday. He's desperate to get some more screen time, especially as he's not camp chef," as a third added: "Fred gunning for that twenty five per cent of screen time."
