Nella Rose has shut down reports that producers got involved with her decision making while taking part in I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!
The YouTube star, 26, was the second celeb to be voted out of the show by the public this week, after many speculated that she was warned what the public may think of her arguing in camp.
One notable war of words was between Nella and First Dates' Fred Siriex, where the latter struck a nerve by quipping that he was 'old enough to be her dad' – with the star having lost her own dad in 2020. But denying any outside involvement, she said: "Producers didn’t tell me a thing. It’s just life in camp. You’re all alone, just together in there. As time goes by you bless things over.
"Fred isn’t a bad person, neither am I, we just got into a very heated back and forth where my triggers were triggered."
Explaining why the French native's comments were tough to hear, Nella continued: "Any dad joke is very triggering for me as my dad was my best friend and I lost him quite recently in 2020. I don’t deal well with dad jokes and I take them to heart. But we blessed it over. But me and Fred are cool, we’re literally the Frenchies."
Nella has also detailed her 'fun' friendship with Fred, which she now compares to a 'sibling rivalry' despite the outspoken pair often clashing.
"I do feel like my emotions were heightened because we were in such an enclosed environment. But we blessed it over. We actually have some good memories me and Fred – winning the basketball championship, being dunked in ice and walking home like frozen ice," she explained.
Adding: "Honestly my disagreements with Fred are things we laugh about now. It brought a lot of entertainment. Being bored in that camp – the disagreements were giving EastEnders. It’s like bickering siblings me and Fred. You’ll see us bicker and see us be friends. It was like a sibling rivalry, the two Frenchies."
Reflecting on her time in camp, outspoken Nella says she wanted people to understand "how real she was" and also praised ex-boxer Tony Bellew for helping her.
She explained: "Tony was almost like a life coach in there for me. He basically told me that I had won in my heart because I had faced all my fears and I’d done something that was so out of my comfort zone. So he said no matter whether I was leaving or not, I’d won in my heart and my bravery is something I should carry with me forever. Love Tony."
She also says plans are already underway for a jungle WhatsApp group and that Sam wants to be the admin.
She said: "Sam has been banging on about it, I think since the second day. I think he’s going to be the admin.. I think the logo is going to be the fire. I think Sam wants to get a tattoo of the fire to add to his sleeve thing."
