Jamie Lynn Spears has quit I’m A Celebrity on ‘medical grounds’ – but insiders say this isn’t the full story.
Britney Spears’ younger sister, who has threatened to leave the jungle multiple times, is finally walking away just days after Grace Dent left for the same reason.
A spokesperson from the show said: “Jamie Lynn Spears has left I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! on medical grounds.
“She’s been a fantastic campmate who has triumphed at trials and bonded well with her fellow celebrities.”
However, show sources are claiming that Jamie Lynn’s early exit is actually down to the Zoey 101 actress missing her family.
Sources told The Mirror: “She has been struggling physically and mentally for some time. If you look back even last week this is not a complete surprise by any means.”
On Tuesday night’s episode, Jamie Lynn was seen going down to the creek to cry over a piece of chocolate.
After enjoying the treat, the 32-year-old took herself away for some alone time where she began crying and was eventually comforted by former boxer Tony Bellew.
Speaking to actress Danielle Harold, Jamie Lynn admitted: “That little square of chocolate p*****d me off.

“It’s because it gives you a taste of what’s outside,” Danielle responded.
To which the Zoey 101 star laughed: “I probably should have just let someone eat it. I feel a little better maybe. I just needed to cry.”
Jamie Lynn then tried to use the camp phone, which isn’t connected to the outside world, to call her children.
She said: “I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate this place, it is where people go to have the worst days of their lives. Dear God please help me make it. I think I have got to leave.
“Just a friendly reminder how much it sucks here.”

I’m A Celeb viewers took to Twitter, now known as X, to respond to the bombshell, with one writing: “LOL, soon they’ll all have left on medical grounds apart from Nigel.”
“Medical grounds? There’ll be nobody left soon,” added another.
However, one person said: “Shame, felt she was growing into it.”
“Jamie should be so proud of herself she’s held out for as long as she possibly could sometimes you just have to say enough is enough so proud of her no matter what,” said a fourth.
