Jenny launches bid to buy the Rovers back in Coronation Street | The Sun

DEVASTATED to find out she no longer had rights on the Rovers, Jenny Connor has been desperate to turn things around.

Coming up, the Coronation Street favourite works out a plan to get her venue back with the help of Daisy Midgeley.

Despite all hopes being seemingly dashed for the iconic pub, soap boss Iain MacLeod announced that the Rovers will be reopened with a big change ahead.

In upcoming scenes of the ITV soap, Jenny (portrayed by Sally Ann Matthews) goes above and beyond in a last-ditch attempt to get her hands on the Rovers again, which was bought by Waterfords.

While the company was considering scraping down the venue to turn it into a block of flats, Jenny is not having it and remains determined to get her home and job back.

It all begins when Jenny and Carla Connor (Alison King) fail to persuade Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) to hand over Stephen Reid's journal.

Recent scenes of the Manchester-based program have shown Jenny with Stephen's laptop in her possession, where she found a potential access to his accounts, in which he may have stored money he stole from the Underworld business prior to his failed escape and death.

However, to gain access to these accounts, Jenny is in need of a password which could be stored in the serial killer's diary.

Unfortunately, Stephen's mother Audrey is still grieving, adamant on keeping her son's belongings.

In later scenes, Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) tells Jenny not to give up as she deserves a cut of that money for what she went through and she could buy the Rovers back.

This prompts the former barmaid to take action herself and use a Platt family outing as the perfect excuse to have a snoop in their home.

Daisy calls at the Bistro and spotting all the Platts’ coats hanging up, forms a plan.

Having stolen David Platt’s keys, Daisy lets herself into No.8. She searches frantically for the journal but is forced to run upstairs when Audrey arrives back.

Will she get caught?

This remains to be seen while, later on, Jenny seemingly manages to find a solution to her problems.

Jenny approaches Carla and asks her if she’ll lend her some money so that she can apply for a mortgage and buy the Rovers back.

Her attempt could be unsuccessful as Daisy and Jenny then tell Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) that they’re off to the bank hoping to secure a loan to buy the Rovers.

Back In the Kabin, they break the news to Brian Packham (Peter Gunn) and Mary Taylor (Patti Clare) that the bank agreed to the loan and the pub will soon be theirs.

Jenny later explains to Daisy that Waterfords have received another offer on the pub so they’ll have to submit a sealed bid.
