PRESENTER-SLASH-FARMER Jeremy Clarkson has revealed that fans won’t have too long to wait for season 2 of his farming documentary series, as he confirmed editing is underway.
The first season of Clarkson's Farm, which consists of eight episodes, premiered on Amazon Prime Video in June of last year.
It follows The Grand Tour host as he took over the day-to-day running of his 1000 acre Cotswolds farm — called Diddly Squat Farm — which he’s owned since 2008.
Clarkson’s Farm was a hit, and his fans loved watching him learn to look after livestock, grow crops, and open his own farm shop.
The show was renewed for a second season shortly afterward and by November, Jeremy, 62, and his co-star Kaleb Cooper, 24, confirmed that production was “well underway.”
Ever since, fans have been desperate to know when the new season will arrive on the streamer.
Lucky for them, Jeremy has just revealed the status of season 2.
After writing on Twitter that he was forced to stop harvesting at Diddly Squat Farm, he shared a welcome update with his fans.

He said: “F**ketty f**k. Had to stop harvesting because of, and I’m not making this up, the fire risk.”
A fan quickly replied, saying, “That stinks. How is the new season of my favourite show on Amazon going?”
To which Jeremy responded that filming had just wrapped.
“Finished filming on Monday. Now the long process of editing begins,” the presenter-slash-farmer revealed.

Another intrigued viewer jumped into the conversation and asked: “So they haven’t been editing anything throughout this whole time?”
To which Jeremy confirmed: ‘Yup. We have done four shows.’
While most of Jeremy’s fans have been waiting patiently for his new series, one pointed out that James May has already dropped a second season of his Amazon travel show, but that was actually released over a year before Clarkson’s Farm.
Plus, “it takes him only 8 weeks to film it. It takes a year to do mine,” Jeremy pointed out.
While there’s no release date set for the project yet and still half the editing left to do, a new season of Clarkson’s Farm is not too far away.
But some fans just can’t wait and are calling for Jeremy to release some raw footage that had been filmed.
One said: “I’d definitely watch the raw footage! I wonder how much interesting stuff that didn’t seem interesting gets cut out.”
Meanwhile, other fans were already discussing the possibilities of a third season.
No announcement about a third season has been made yet, but it’s highly possible given how well received the documentary series has been.
Clarkson’s Farm has been hailed for everything it’s done for agriculture.
Speaking at the Conservative party conference in Manchester, the Environment Secretary George Eustice said the show has boosted the profile of farming and highlighted the struggles farmers face.

He said: I think that Jeremy Clarkson’s programme has done a huge amount to raise the profile of agriculture and some of the challenges it faces.
“It is sort of a Top Gear-meets-Countryfile type of programme I think.”
The first season of Clarkson’s Farm is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
