Jeremy Clarkson receives news over the future of Clarkson's Farm | The Sun

FILMING has already started on a third series of Prime Video’s Clarkson’s Farm – months before the second series has even aired.

Jeremy Clarkson is back for more agricultural antics down at Diddly Squat Farm alongside his team of helpers including, of course, trusty sidekicks Kaleb, Lisa and Charlie.

Jeremy said: “I’m genuinely thrilled that we are doing a third season of Clarkson’s Farm. I’ve had some great new ideas, all of which have made Charlie, Lisa and Kaleb deeply unhappy.”

The new series will see them tackle the unfarmed part of the farm which currently makes up almost half of the 1,000 acre site.

Jeremy wants to maximise the potential in the surrounding woodland and the nearby lakes, but as ever he doesn’t quite know what he’s doing.

Kaleb said: “I’m over the moon to be taking part again. Well, they do say third time’s a charm. Maybe this will be the series that Jeremy finally starts taking advice from a real farmer.”

Jeremy Clarkson breaks silence on future of hit show Clarkson’s Farm

Clarkson’s Farm was a huge hit for Prime video when it first aired last year, mainly because viewers loved watching hapless Jeremy failing so badly on the plot of land he bought in the Cotswolds.

He had to contend with the worst farming weather in decades, deal with unresponsive crops, not to mention an unexpected pandemic.

Jeremy also had to deal with misbehaving animals including a cow who smashed him in the privates.

He recalled: “I had a plastic bag full of cow treats, which I rattled to let the beasts know that food was in the offing…they had no interest in my nutty snacks. One of them, though, did have an interest in killing me.

“It’s said a cow cannot kick backwards but I can testify to the fact that this isn’t true. A cow can kick in any direction. They are like Bruce Lee, only more deadly and determined.”

It earned two National Television Award nominations this year.

The show was in the Factual Entertainment Programme category and Kaleb was nominated in the Expert category , which saw him competing with national treasure Sir David Attenborough. In the end Martin Lewis scooped the gong.

The second series of Clarkson’s Farm, which was announced last year, is likely to air in early 2023 and is mooted as being: a “deeper insight into another year on Diddly Squat Farm.”

JO’S QUIP HAS JEZ CHOKING

CHARLES INGRAM has become almost as famous as the quiz show he fraudulently coughed and spluttered his way through in 2001.

So host Jeremy Clarkson can’t resist a joke at the cheat’s expense during this weekend’s edition of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?

Jo Brand is in the hot seat and, faced with a quandary over Ponzi schemes, she jokes: “Let me ask the man in the coat in the audience.”

Jeremy exclaims: “No! You’re not allowed to address the audience while we’re in gameplay!

“I mean, subtle coughing is one thing but simply asking people in the audience is not allowed. I must be most strict on it.”

It was far from Jo’s specialist area.

Earlier, Jeremy asked what topics the comic hoped would crop up.

She laughed: “Takeaways.”

  • Millionaire is on ITV at 9pm on Sunday.

Jason's back for another TV Premier

HE won huge acclaim playing PM Harold Wilson in series five of The Crown, and now Jason Watkins is about to tackle another Prime Minister, Sir Winston Churchill.

The actor will take on the World War Two leader in BBC1’s new Sunday night drama, SAS Rogue Heroes, which starts this weekend.

Jason, who has also starred in Line Of Duty, Des and McDonald & Dodds, appears as the PM in a supporting role later in the series.

The four central characters are Paddy Mayne, played by Jack O’Connell; Lieut Col Wrangel Clarke, played by Dominic West; Jock Lewes, played by Alfie Allen; and David Stirling, played by Connor Swindells.

They were the founding fathers of the Special Air Service, created at the height of the war to combat the Nazi spread across North Africa.

But the drama, adapted from Ben Macintyre’s book, shows how they did not quite start off as the elite, disciplined unit we think of today.

Luckily we have Jason to bring a touch of class to proceedings.

Tom: My girl No1

SIR Tom Jones reckons his contender in this weekend’s final of The Voice is the best singer the programme has ever found.

The music legend hopes the audience back Anthonia Edwards with their votes on Saturday night.

He said: "In my many years of coaching The Voice, Anthonia stands out as a next-generation talent with potential to be a true artist.

“Her natural musicianship and vocal capabilities are beyond her years and experience and her beautiful tone and emotional delivery will communicate across the airwaves as well as in live performance.

“Anthonia has been a pleasure to work with and watch grow as each week, so I hope the audience and viewers see that and do the right thing to crown her our winner this weekend!”

Fellow coach Olly Murs has revealed he has chosen a “very iconic football song” for his champ, David Adeogun.

He laughed: “When you hear it, you’ll realise how hard it was for me as a Man Utd fan to give him this song. I definitely put my allegiances to one side, but he smashes it.

“David deserves to win because he came to The Voice not knowing how good he was, and for someone that’s only ever sung in church, here he is now at the final of The Voice.”

Anne-Marie will be supporting her contender, Mark Howard.

And WILL.I.AM told me: “My contestant Naomi Johnson deserves to win because she’s got it – she hits the Himalayan high notes and is the total package that producers and labels are looking for.

“What viewers can expect from the finale performances is truly outstanding talent, four finalists who really own the stage, each in their own fearless way.

“This season has upped the stakes yet again.”

  • Watch The Voice final on Saturday at 8pm.

HAMZA’S HAUNTED

YOU might think nothing is scarier than Craig Revel Horwood on the rampage, but Strictly’s Hamza Yassin has a far spookier tale to tell.

Ahead of the BBC show’s Halloween special, the wildlife cameraman told how he once spent a terrifying night alone on a remote Scottish island.

He said: “I had to film these puffins. When I turned up, the boat left and I was going to be living on the island for the next month or so by myself.

“On the first evening I was about to go to bed and I heard this haunting sound. I didn’t know what it was. It continued through the night, waking me up.

"Every time I shouted out, ‘Hello’, the sounds responded like someone was speaking.

"The next day, I realised it was seals calling to each other.”
