JESS Harding has taken a brutal swipe at her ex Sammy Root after splitting just three months on from Love Island.

The reality beauty, 22, shot to fame when she appeared on the most recent series of Love Island.

She met Sammy Root in the TV villa and they quickly became a couple before winning the show.

However, the pair have been rocked by claims they've split up after just three months.

The Mail reports that sources have confirmed it's over, with an insider insisting: "They're better off as friends."

And now it appears Jess has confirmed the news by removing Sammy from her social media.

They also walked the red carpet together at the National Television Awards, but insiders suggested they were struggling to get on behind the scenes.

They also fuelled rumours the relationship was on the rocks when they went to showbiz events separately.

When they won Love Island, they beat fan favourites Whitney Adebayo and Lochan Nowacki to the £50,000 prize.
