Strictly Come Dancing star Ellie Taylor and her professional partner Johannes Radebe joined Christine Lampard for Lorraine on Friday morning to discuss their upcoming performance. As they spoke about potentially making it to the final, Johannes reflected on his unforgettable partnership with John Whaite.

Ahead of their upcoming performance on Saturday, Johannes and Ellie stopped by Lorraine to speak on the highly anticipated routine.

With all the stars expected to return to screens for Halloween week, the duo were asked about making it to the final.

Johannes reflected on 2021 when he made it to the final with the Great British Bake Off star John.

He shared: “We made it all the way to the finals, I wish the same for us babe and more if that’s possible.”

Speaking to Christine, the pro added: “John was incredible last year and I had the best time, last night was also incredible.

“People nodding to how beautiful that journey was with me, I am proud.”

Christine responded: “Of course, exactly, and it’s such a huge show because everyone was buying into it, including your little girl, Ellie.”

Ellie stated: “She does enjoy it, she’s four now it’s the first time she’s watched it.”

Earlier this month, Johannes and John recently reunited for the Virgin Atlantic Attitude Awards where they were given the Gamechanger Award.

Following their coupling in 2021, the duo broke history as Strictly’s first all-male pair in the series.

Their partnership came after the athlete Nicola Adams and Katya Jones became the first same-sex pairing of the series in 2020.

Johannes and John were highly praised by viewers and continued to wow the panel of judges until the final.

Although they performed during the gripping final, the duo lost out on the Glitterball Trophy to EastEnders star Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice.

On Saturday, Ellie and Johannes were able to impress judges after they returned to the stage for Centenary Week.

To celebrate the BBC’s 100th anniversary, the duo performed the Tango to the Casualty theme tune and scored 30 out of 40 points.

Ellie and Johannes will return to screens on Saturday with the upcoming Halloween Week.

For another chance at wowing the judges, they will have the opportunity to perform a dance style of their choice.

The category called Couple’s Choice allows couples to choose from a list of dance styles which routines will reflect them best.

As Ellie and Johannes’ choice has yet to be announced, it was revealed they would dance to I Put A Spell on You by Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy.

Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturday at 6.50pm on BBC One.
