I’m A Celeb: Josie Gibson arrives in Australia
Former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! star Edwina Currie has admitted that whilst she has never met Josie Gibson, she feels she will “struggle” in the jungle.
During an exclusive interview with Spin Genie, Edwina explained: “I’ve never met Josie. But she is gorgeous to look at. She’s so attractive.
“We’re going to see how Josie actually copes with the physical conditions of the jungle. And like everyone else, she’s going to be deprived of all basic comforts of life.
“There’s no coffee, there’s no tea, there’s no sugar and they have to cook for themselves and muck in together.
“There’s no phones so she’s not going to be able to put anything out to her friends or ask her mum what to do next. She’s going to have to rely heavily on all the people with her.”

She added: “It’s not going to be funny and every mosquito is going to remind you that you’re not at home. I found that I really missed my husband when I was there.
“More than I was expecting to be honest. I had quite a tearful moment at one stage, much to my own surprise.
“It’s because you’re in a situation of deprivation. And you touch rock bottom occasionally, just once or twice. And I think Josie might do that.”
Josie has made a name for herself on ITV chatshow This Morning and isn’t afraid to ask the harsh and awkward questions.

She proved this last night when she took a cheeky swipe at former UKIP MP Nigel Farage over Brexit.
Josie and Nigel were first to arrive at their designated group locations, but the conversation quickly took an awkward turn.
She confessed: “I thought this was a good idea until they dropped us off in the middle of nowhere. I’ve never been so petrified.”
Nigel replied: “It’s something different in life, it’s an adventure! It’s a challenge, it’s not going to be easy, but why not?”
Josie teased: “It can’t be worse than Brexit!” before Nigel laughed and said: “Oh… didn’t take long, did it? Didn’t take long. I had a feeling we’d get a bit of that!”
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! airs every night from 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
