Jude Law Just Addressed Dumbledore's Sexuality in 'Fantastic Beasts' for the First Time

Back in January, the director of Fantastic Beasts 2 shocked fans when he said that Dumbledore’s sexuality won’t be explicitly addressed in the film. The movie, which introduces audiences to a younger Dumbledore, seemed like the ideal time to talk the character’s sexual orientation.

Jude Law, who plays Dumbledore, just spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the idea of his character’s sexuality, saying that the story was “multi-faceted.”

So basically, he dodged the question but did remind people that there are more movies to come, meaning they could include it as part of a future film. This pretty much mirrors what J.K. Rowling said about the same thing when director

“Being sent abuse about an interview that didn’t involve me, about a screenplay I wrote but which none of the angry people have read, which is part of a five-movie series that’s only one installment in, is obviously tons of fun, but you know what’s even *more* fun?”
