LAUREN Goodger has been left heartbroken after one of her best friends started dating the ex-boyfriend arrested for allegedly beating her up.
Builder Charles Drury was arrested at the former TOWIE star’s home in Essex last month when she was allegedly attacked hours after their baby daughter’s funeral.
Drury, 25, temporarily moved in with 37-year-old Jacqueline Johnson – a close friend of Lauren – after he was released on police bail.
But pals said the pair are now in a relationship and living together as a couple at Jacqueline's home in Romford, Essex.
And 36-year-old Lauren was left heartbroken when they broke the news that they are now an item.
A source said: “Lauren was baffled when Jacqueline took Charlie in at first but now it all makes sense.

“She had her suspicions and has since been told Charlie and Jacqueline are dating.
“Lauren feels devastated and betrayed by Jacqueline because she considered her a close friend.
“They met through her ex-brother-in-law as Jacqueline is his sister. They stayed close despite the break up.
“Lauren is holding her head high and does not want to be associated with Jacqueline ever again.”

Former Towie star Lauren was left with serious facial injuries following the alleged incident at her home in Essex.
The attack was claimed to have taken place just hours after Lauren held a funeral for her daughter with Drury, Lorena, who died minutes after she was born.
Lauren and Drury also have a 14-month-old daughter called Larose.
Former Dancing on Ice star Lauren is also now understood to have moved on and is dating a new man.
A source said: “Lauren is healing and someone wealthy and lovely is making her feel confident again.”
The telly beauty is still recovering from her baby’s death and the alleged assault – plus the death of her ex-boyfriend Jake McLean in a 70ft car plunge from a cliff in Turkey last month.

Police are still investigating the alleged attack on Lauren and Drury is due to answer bail later this year.
Lauren’s agent declined to comment on Drury’s new relationship last night.
