LINE of Duty boss Jed Mercurio has landed a new ITV crime thriller called Payback – with some very familiar faces.

The new show will be produced by the Jed's production company HTM Television, and written by screenwriter Debbie O'Malley.

Payback will be filmed in Glasgow, Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.

The new show follows the life of Levie Noble, a woman who lives in Edinburgh with her husband Jared.

Her life is turned upside-down when she realises that her other half has been involved in some dodgy dealings with a crime lord called Cal Morris.

She is left shocked when she realises that Jared's every move is being followed by the police, so is forced into working for Cal.
