Princess Diana's former butler, Paul Burrell, has left Lorraine viewers fuming after appearing on the show today (January 6).

During the interview with the Scottish host, Paul discussed Prince Harry ’s latest bombshell claims from his tell-all memoir.

However, viewers watching at home were left infringed after Paul “made it all about him.”

Speaking to Paul about the memoir, Lorraine said: “He [Prince Harry] talks about very private things, like what it was like being told that his mother had died.

“And of course, you were there at the time. So I can only imagine how distressing that must be.”

Paul then chimed in claiming that Harry is a “very angry, hurt young man.”

He continued: “When he talks about his father touching his knee at Balmoral and not hugging him, I understand that because Charles isn’t a hugger.

“The royals don’t hug.”

Paul then recalled: “I remember when Charles came to Paris to see Diana’s body and he touched me and said ‘are you alright old thing?’

“And that was all the comfort I got,” he claimed.

“They’re not good at giving comfort. That’s what Harry is trying to tell you, they are not like us – they are very different.

“So I understand what Harry is going through,” he quipped.

Lorraine then spoke about the “heartbreaking” moment in which Harry retraced his mother’s final journey.

“He actually went into a car and into that tunnel as he felt he had to do that,” Lorraine said.

“Devastating,” Paul replied, before quickly adding: “I’ve done it and for me it was devastating.

“I can’t think what it would be like for Harry to retrace her final moments.

“He’s gone through the final steps as well, gone through to the hospital and done everything,” he added.

Viewers watching the show at home were not happy about Paul’s appearance, with some claiming he was "making it about himself."

"Not Paul bloody Burrell again FFS," one viewer proclaimed.

Another added: "Paul Burrell talking about Diana for the 900 millionth time."

"How is he making this about himself," somebody else penned.

While a fourth viewer joked: "He knows every friggin word Diana said."
