LOVE Island bosses are bracing themselves for a record number of Ofcom complaints after an episode descended into “soft porn.”

The cast dressed in fantasy costumes to perform lap dances in an attempt to raise heart rates during Tuesday night’s show.

But ITV2 has faced a viewer backlash after the challenge led to scenes showing graphic touching and mimicking of sex acts.

This year’s series has already attracted nearly 500 official complaints.

One viewer wrote online: “This season it’s just straight up soft porn.”

Another added: “Soft porn on ITV! How low can you go!”

And a third agreed: “I have a feeling Ofcom are going to get so many complaints.”

The scenes aired around 9.30pm — thirty minutes after the watershed.

They included Davide Sanclimenti, 27, kissing 21-year-old Danica Taylor’s behind and touching Ekin-Su Cülcüloglu’s underwear.

Jacques O’Neill, 23, mimicked a sex act using a policeman’s truncheon.
