Love Island viewers were left taken-aback during tonight's episode (Friday 14 July), as Tyrique Hyde continued to give "bad" advice to the other islanders.

But while fans dubbed him the "devil in everyone's ear", his villa pals continue to hang off the islander's every word.

As the episode came to a close, the sneaky footballer was even encouraging new bombshell Ella Barnes to go and break up Mitchel Taylor, 26, and Casa Amor beauty Abi Moores, 25, from their serious chat on the daybeds.

Ella feared it could be a "rude" move to go and pull Mitch for a chat at that particular time, but Tyrique, 24, declared: "Since when have you cared about being rude?"

Laughing and agreeing with her old friend, Ella proceeded to storm over to the pair, as an unimpressed Abi warned she wasn't ready to step aside.

Fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on Tyrique's apparent influence over the other islanders in the villa.

One person wrote: "Tyrique is so crazy man, how does everyone in the villa obey his every word #LoveIsland."

"Tyrique controls the villa and Ella T controls Ty #LoveIsland," another viewer joked.

A third fan said: "Tyrique runs the villa #LoveIsland," while a fourth observed: "The way these people obey Tyrique is crazy #LoveIsland."

"Tyrique is too funny they literally do anything he says???? confused #LoveIsland," a fifth laughed, followed by: "Ty is the little devil in everyone’s ear #loveIsland"

And another fan added: "Tyrique so blatantly has his eyes on the prize. He keeps setting the other men up to fail/mess up so that he and Ella look like the strongest couple. It's really sh***y behaviour and I can't believe everyone is falling for it. #LoveIsland"

Even the show's official Twitter account joined in, recognising Tyrique's power in the villa.

"After Casa, everyone show know not to take advice from Tyrique #loveisland."

Elsewhere in the villa, Jess Harding and Sammy Root, both 22, were back on bad terms after she went on a date with newcomer Josh Brocklebank, 26, and he proceeded to couple up with her in the surprise recoupling.

While Jess was determined to give Josh the time of day despite the awkward situation, Sammy became annoyed that the blonde Londoner didn't immediately go and talk to him first.

As they argued on the swings, Jess reminded Sammy that she wasn't his "girlfriend", leaving the curly-haired hunk deciding to walk off in a huff.
