Love Island first look: The Grafties fallout hits hard
Love Island has seen some familiar and new challenges in this series, but this year the iconic baby challenge will not be shown.
Over the last nine years, the Islanders have been woken by the sound of crying babies in the final week, putting their communication and parenting abilities to the test.
This year, the Islanders won’t be taking part in the challenge after the Grafties had taken the slot instead.
An insider told The Sun: “It’s not happening this year – but the show has seen loads of new tasks and challenges that fans have loved.”
Express.co.uk has contacted ITV for a comment.
Viewers of the show have been left upset by the decision to take the challenge away and took to their Twitter accounts.

@EllaLarbi3 expressed: “No baby challenge this year really wanted to see Tyrella as parents #loveIsland.”
@sxdi_x commented: “All I wanted was Tyrella in the baby challenge. Was that too much to ask for ??? #loveisland.”
Henry Heming noted: “This challenge is so messy! Shouldn’t they all be holding hands by now and doing baby challenge #LoveIsland.” (sic)
However, not everyone was upset by the decision to take away the challenge as @biatrigo cheered: “Can I already celebrate there will not be that f*****g baby challenge? Omg, I hated that so much #loveisland.”
@Bssbeing added: “Hopefully there’s no baby challenge this year #loveisland.” (sic)

The beloved challenge has seen some of the best Love Island moments over the years, with one being in 2018 when Josh Denzel’s baby’s arm fell off.
In 2019, Tommy Fury flipped his baby around and left Molly-Mae Hague to quip: “Tommy, what the f**k was that?”
In 2017, Chris Hughes became emotional when talking about baby Cashm, while in 2019 Dr Alex’s baby was launched out of its pram during their race.
Last night, fans were left stunned when scenes were played back to the Islanders after the public had voted for who they wanted to award the Grafties.
It sparked a series of huge rows between Lochan Nowacki and Tyrique Hyde and Mitch Taylor targeting Abi Moores in a mean speech.
Love Island airs weeknights and Sunday from 9pm on ITV2.
