Love Island fans question Maxwell as he labels Jessie fake while dating Olivia

Tuesday's episode of Love Island saw Maxwell Samuda label fellow islander Jessie Wynter "fake" in a dramatic turn.

Australian contestant Jessie is currently loved up with TikTok farmer Will Young on the ITV2 show, with their only hiccup being when Will kissed a bombshell during Casa Amor.

The pair are now back on track and have even dropped the L-bomb to each other.

However, Tuesday's episode saw contestants such as Olivia Hawkins, Lana Jenkins, Maxwell and Ron Hall call into question Jessie’s intentions with Will, with both Olivia and Maxwell branding her fake.

Ironically, fans had previously said the exact same thing about the above-mentioned islanders.

Jessie's true feelings towards Will were questioned by Maxwell as he and Casey chatted about how Jessie had pulled Casey for a chat over the Claudia situation.

As they talked, Maxwell said: “When it was the Casa recoupling and Jessie came back and realised Will was single and she started crying the entire time I was looking for a tear and I couldn’t find a tear.”

Fans have taken to Twitter to discuss the Islanders' conversation, with people having mixed feelings about it.

Some were saying they agreed with Maxwell and Olivia about Jessie being "fake", while others called them hypocrites for calling out Jessie, while they were the ones being fake.

One person said: "Whys everyone saying jessie is fake. They all are ron olivia maxwell casey. So fake #loveisland."

A second person penned: "Why are Olivia and Maxwell piping up about Jessie being fake when all they do is chat sh*t about every couple in the villa when they’re together #LoveIsland."

Another person compared them to a previous couple on the show and said: "Ngl I loved messy olivia and maxwell tonight. They are becoming messy lik ekin and Davide. #loveisland Jessie is fake and she needs to leave."

A fourth tweeted: "I feel like Olivia fed the 'fake Jessie' to Maxwell and he just ran with it. Like I don't disagree but Olivia is so transparent it's embarrassing. #potkettleblack #girlsgirlmyarse #LoveIsland."

Olivia has gotten a lot of backlash from fans for talking about the other islanders behind their backs, and has also been named by former islander Zara Lackenby-Brown to be the most two-faced Islander as part of a game.

Love Island continues every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
