Love Island viewers were left puzzled during tonight's episode as there appeared to be an odd editing blunder with Mitchel Taylor.

After the initial waking up segment, the girls went off to chat about their relationships, but soon after that, everyone looked dressed and ready for the day.

Mitch, 26, and Ella Barnes, 23, were having a chat on the bean bags in the garden as the latter still had some things to get off her chest about his previous comments.

Mitch claimed he'd been "tripping" when he suggested to the boys that Ella could have been "fake" with him, which really upset her, though many believed she wasn't crying real tears.

As Mitch donned his cap and tried to convince Ella it was all because of his past relationship issues, the conversation came to an end.

But before they knew it, viewers were then treated to a scene of all the boys together in the bedroom, and they looked like they were yet to get dressed.

As Mitch heard the sound of a text ring go off, he bolted up in bed and adjusted his pillows, leading some to wonder if there was an editing blunder.

"They mustve known they were getting a text cos otherwise they wouldnt have been allowed to stay in the bedroom…" one confused fan tweeted.

"And all of them together coincidentally like please #LoveIsland"

Another person wondered: "How is Mitch now back in bed after his chat with Ella? #loveisland"

Despite the odd switch in gears, the boys took the challenge upon themselves with excitement, all proceeding to trick the girls with various tasks.

Sadly, they had an "epic fail" and didn't win their prize, and the boys were left deflated.

Thankfully, it didn't stop Sammy Root and Jess Harding, both 22, and Whitney Adebayo and Lochan Nowacki, both 25, from getting excited for their final dates, as producers pulled out all the stops.

Whitney and Lochan embarked on a "boujee" boat ride, while Jess and Sammy were treated to "princess treatment".

Dressed up to the nines, the couple were whisked off to a stunning ballroom filled with professional dancers and gorgeous orchestral music as they took a spin on the dance floor.

As the dates came to an end, the couples were told to choose their least compatible couple, as one more pair is set to be dumped from the island before the grand final on Monday, July 31.

Love Island continues Sunday and Monday night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX
