Fans of Love Island are convinced that ITV has inadvertently revealed the winners of the show, days before the final is set to air on Monday 1 August.

Three of the five couples went on dates on Thursday night's episode of the show, and ITV2 went all out with the budget, sending Paige Thorne, 24, and Adam Collard, 26, on a boat trip and Dami Hope, 26, and Indiyah Polack, 23, on a street fiesta with an intimate dinner.

It was the date of Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, 27, and 'Italian Stallion' Davide Sanclimenti, 28, that got people talking though, as it looks like the producers really pushed the boat out for the on-off couple.

The pair enjoyed an intimate dinner date in a colosseum-style setting with candles everywhere and none other than tenor Alfie Boe serenading them with his powerful voice.

The date went extremely well, with Ekin-Su and Davide opening up on their feelings towards each other, with Davide even leading the way, telling the Turkish actress that he loved her, before the pair shared a passionate smooch and she said the three words back.

Fans were convinced that their date meant that they are set to be crowned the winners of this year's show, with one person tweeting: Y’all see this budget? yeah they going all out for our winners #loveisland."

Another person wrote: "ITV spent the most of Davide/Ekin’s date. They know they’re the winners regardless that they didn’t have to give them the winner’s edit on Friday."

Someone else tweeted: "No because the producers see all the voting figures and must know that Ekin and Davide are going to win for them to bring in Alfie Boe."

Yet another person said: "So Ekinde get the winners date? None so far are rubbish so I guess the 'table in a field' date is being saved for Tasha and Andrew or Luca and Gemma. My money is on Luca and Gemma #LoveIsland."

One fan also took aim at Paige and Adam's boat date, saying: "I love how Paige and Adam got the worse date the budget is giving cheap #LoveIsland."

Ekin-Su got emotional on her date with Davide, saying that it felt like she was in a "dream", whilst Davide said to her: "To our beautiful experience and hopefully we will last forever – it will last forever."

Ekin-Su then said: "This is probably the most romantic date I’ve ever been on in my life. I just can’t get over this. It’s everything I’ve always wanted".

She also cried on his shoulder as the pair listened to Alfie's final song, which also made Davide emotional too.

Love Island continues at 9pm on ITV2.
