Love Island star frustrated after producers made him repeat conversations

Michael Griffiths revealed he got "frustrated" when producers asked him to repeat certain conversations while on Love Island.

The fitness trainer, 31, appeared on series five of the hit ITV2 dating show back in 2019 and was dumped less than two weeks before the final.

Four years after first starring on the programme, Michael has teamed up with Subway on their three-part social content series, Lunch Island, alongside series four star Georgia Steel.

Reflecting on their own experiences in an exclusive chat with Daily Star, both Michael and Georgia, 25, discussed the involvement producers had during their time in the villa.

"It's obviously a TV show and they want to catch angles so sometimes you might have to repeat a conversation," Georgia explained.

"But that doesn't necessarily mean it's produced, it's just that they want to get the camera angles for the show."

Michael chipped in: "Sometimes that takes a while so it can be quite annoying at the same time because they need to get their angle and right kind of reactions.

"They sometimes wait to get the right camera man in place so sometimes it is long."

Georgia added: "It is strange when you have to repeat a conversation because you have déjà vu while you're doing it," as Michael said: "And you start to giggle a little bit."

The influencer explained: "Yeah and you know it's a bit awkward because you know what you've spoken about before.

"But I understand why they've got to do it because they want to get the angles and there's only so many cameras."

While Georgia admitted her background in acting helped in these situations, Michael explained he couldn't help but sometimes feel frustrated.

"For me it was a little bit different. I got a little bit frustrated to be honest," the Ex on the Beach star explained.

"I was like, 'Why are we doing this again?' But it's all for the show."

The MTV presenter went on to say: "I feel like some people have their opinions on whether it's overproduced or not, but they've got to get the show right and you have to just get on with it."
