Love Island star Haris Namani has broken his silence on the reports after a video emerged of him having a street video years ago.
The 21 year old northerner, who was sadly dumped from the island alongside Anna-May Robey during tonight's instalment (January 25), said he felt "devastated" the clip has been seen by the public.
"I’m devastated that this video has been seen, it’s not a reflection of my character," he said.
"I’m not someone that goes looking for fights and I didn’t want to be in that situation. This was a heat of the moment thing.
The reality TV star went on to say that while the video looked bad, some positives came out of the situation.
"The video doesn’t show everything that happened," Haris claimed. "Afterwards we met up and we cleared the air. We’ve shaken hands and we get along now.
"It’s not something that would happen again," the former contestant added.
Despite his premature exit from the villa, Haris gushed over his experience and maintained that his favourite moment from the week was the moment he walked through the Love Island villa doors.
"Me and Shaq were the first in," the former islander recalled. "I lived every moment of it.
"Me and the lads, me and the girls, I felt like I got on with everyone. I took everything in every day!"
Haris and Shaq had a tense moment in the villa, and a row ensued between the pair, but the dumped islander insisted they squashed their beef straight away.
"Yeah [we’re friends]. I knew 100 per cent nothing would have come from that disagreement and we would hug it out," the star shared. "I said sorry for my part and he said the same and that’s it.
"We were the first two in and we got along after that as normal," Haris went on, also revealing that the islanders have already spoken about meeting up outside of the villa when the show's over.
In terms of his and Olivia's connection however, Haris admitted the pair had a chat after Jessie and Aaron announced he was dumped.
"We had a conversation just after the decision was made," he said. "I hope she does well and I hope she finds the right boy for herself.
"You never know what could happen. Never say never.
"I would expect Olivia to get to know people that are coming through. If there’s new people coming through, just to be true to herself," the star added.
Love Island continues every night at 9pm on ITV.
