Love Island star Tyler Cruickshank has revealed some of the words that Islanders are banned from using in the ITV2 villa.

On Tuesday (June 28), Tyler chatted exclusively to the Daily Star at the VIP launch of Karaoke Box in London.

Talking about some of the things that viewers at home may not know about the show, Tyler revealed that there are a selection of words the contestants get "told off" for using.

Tyler, who starred in the 2021 series of the show, said: "When we were saying things in there we would get told off quite a lot because they weren't politically correct.

"Like you can't say 'Chinese whispers' like, I get it but it's something that would slip out of your mouth. You then get called to the beach hut and get told off.

"You can't say the C-word either.

"You can't say midget, I get it again…. but I would call Jake it in the villa. That was about it but you had to be careful in there. You can't do accents either. I was trying to use the French accent and I wasn't very good which is probably why they told me off."

The reality TV star is also going back to his day job and making a career U-turn from the showbiz world back to law.

He explained: "I want to get back into law next year – I've been doing content creation and now. Law is always what I was going to do, TV stuff will always be there but I didn't go to uni to spend all that money to not pursue it I didn't go on the show to change my life."

When asked about the notorious "secret catflap" which some Islanders have mentioned recently, he also explained that it brings goodies to the cast members.

Tyler added: "Yeah, the secret catflap also brings in toiletries and things like that, any clothes, etc, if you need it."

The star was coupled up with Kaz Kamwi on the show and despite having his head turned in Casa Amor the couple came fourth place on the show.

However, the pair soon split up after the show and show no sign of rekindling their romance any time soon.
